Signs of a failing grill element
- Uneven heating on one side
- Weak or inconsistent heat
- No heat at all
- Sparks or unusual sounds
- Visible burn marks or discolouration
Grill elements take a hammering: constant heating and cooling, hard water deposits and more direct exposure than an enclosed oven element. They carry live current, so it is a job for an engineer.
